Hmmnnn... well... As to the whole Cock thing... Whilst the idea of a thusly flavo(u)red soup does indeed elicit a bit of an "erp" in my case as well I'd sure hate to have my personal one be on the receiving end of an errant weedwhacker. Heh... "whacker". So I guess while I'm also NO FAN OF COCK! I am quite attached to mine (figuratively and literally too I guess). So I guess I can also say with pride I LOVE COCK. This does get a bit confusing.

BTW - I made some awesome Chicken Soup for the kiddos when they were sick.

As to the Munggo... I believe you may be referring to Mongo from the most-excellent Blazing Saddles movie. I don't remember Monggo from the also-most-excellent Three Amigos movie. As an aside - in poking around the also-most-excellent-and-quite-informative IMDB I discovered that the reasonably-ok, somewhat-above-average-but-certainly-not-in-the-same-realm-as-either-Blazing Saddles-or-Three Amigos Hugh Grant was born "Hugh John Mungo Grant". Interesting.

Also interesting - I had some lovely Mushroom Soup for lunch today from the cafeteria at work. I'd have to say it was probably the best Mushroom Soup that I've ever had (and I've "been around" with regards to eating mushroom soup, if you take my meaning (and I think you do)). It was so lovely, in fact, that with every bite I marveled at it's wonderfulness, not only how good it was but also my luck in taking a chance on it and not passing by the five gallon (19 litre yo) pot that had likely been simmering away for about four hours.

Oooooh! Puzzles! I Like Puzzles! Hmmnnn... Lessee... OK - I'm gonna go with your faves start with M and C. Only because you said that the most obvious ones are the correct ones and everyone knows that M and C are the most obvious ones, due in no small part to their involvement in the Theory of Relativity and MC Hammer's name. As far as the actual soups started with these two "Prime-ey" letters I shall once again go with the most obvious of choices, Cock and Monggo
Well that wasn't such a toughie at all...

Interestingly enough, Mr. Shanahan and I were discussing this very topic over beverages just last week. Since you ask,... The first letter of both of my favorite soup's name is in fact a prime number given the numerical order of the modern English alphabet, which we know is derived from the Latin alphabet. Know what I am sayin'? Of course you do....Well, then you already know which soups I like bestest? Ah, but of course, you say there are many soups that may begin with a "prime" letter. Well, right again, but the answers are in fact the obvious ones.
ahahahah...no, really!
