So as it has been, as is typically the case, a while without many posts… I realize have yet to post a pic of the latest addition to my group of guitar buddies… I picked up this spiffy Yamaha SA503 TVL a couple of months ago and am very impressed… I’ve always wanted a Bigsby, a Semi-Hollowbody, and something with P90-style pickups… kinda fits the bill on all fronts, plays great and has an amazingly wide range of tones…
So yesterday’s reflection and whatnot included some ruminating on pals back in Seattle… and coffee… and reminded me of this picture I took a little while ago after this Starbuck’s was conveniently built right on my way to work…
Reminds me of plenty of rain soaked jaunts for the bean in Seattle…

So today I seem to have turned 40… kinda making me feel a bit off I guess…
What the hell is it about these “Decade” birthdays that make them any different than all the other ones???…
Definitely seem to make for a lot more reflection and whatnot from what I can tell… 30 was pretty horrible for some reason… actually… for several that I’m pretty aware of… 40 is a much rosier experience than that one and life is grand but still… feeling a tad weird… and reflective… and whatnot…
