there it is again… a gigantic break in blogging… something that i used to do with regularity… mmm… regularity… hah…
so to the two or three volks out there in the ether that actually make the effort to read these increasingly sporadic chronicles… i apologize for the lack thereof over the last month and a bit…
and before i get to the reason for my return… the two items deserving personal review that have actually given me reason to be awake at 2:30 and write a post… a little housekeeping from the last little while…
firstly and most importantly… love-of-my-life karen and i have now been married for five whole years… pretty cool huh???… i look back and one one hand see all the adventures (and the two kids) that we’ve had and think “man, we sure have done a lot” but at the same time it’s just flown by and it doesn’t seem anything like five years has passed… i reckon i’m the luckiest boy that you chose me honey and i love you more every single day and i think you’re the bestest!!!…
%$##@# congrats i reckon to the university of florida… fer crying out loud… what a load to watch as a buckeyes fan but you most assuredly deserved both high profile wins and we most assuredly deserved both high profile losses and we’re sure enough yer bitches this year… should you need to re- and three-peat (tm pat riley) next year and should you need to do it against one team instead of the regular two please choose someone else… as uber-exciting as it was to watch the ol’ alma mater get to the finals i think my life was significantly shortened watching not one but two big time losses in the same year…
it’s also been 5 years now that my pal tom’s been gone… particularly difficult to think about this year for some reason… i guess being away from seattle for the first time was the biggest reason but man did that hit me hard this year… i miss you lots dude… and apologies to love-of-my-life karen for being such a blitherin’ pile of crap for a few days…
it appears that winter might actually be done here… sure did linger a bit… but now the weather is nice… kiddos have been playing outside… barbecues have occurred on the somewhat-newly-constructed king-hell deck-o’-love… this is good…
my much-anticipated annual fishing expedition is two months away… i’m friggin’ in heat for that for lack of a better term… hah… looking forward to seeing some seattle fellers… and fishing… and poker… and maybe a beverage or two… and just being back in montana… i like montana a whole lot… ’tis a tad more of a logistical challenge from here than from seattle i’ve noticed…
anyhow… there’s the semi-quick update from the last month-and-a-half…
so as to not blow my wad too early… err… so to speak… i shall save my initial reason(s) for getting out of bed and posting for the next day or two…
