so here we are on a wednesday… ahhh… beautiful wednesday.. when it all turns around and there’s a collective paradigm shift from living in the past to anticipating the future…
and i’m a happy camper ‘cuz this wednesday’s smack in the middle of two awesome weekends…
last weekend was bee-u-tee-ful here in the glorious pacific northwest… the family had a fun day hangin’ around on saturday and on sunday we had a blast going to our pals julian and nabila’s joint b-day party… ’twas grand…
and the upcoming weekend looks like its gonna be a hoot… k’s company picnic is on friday afternoon and that’s always a good time… she works with cool folks and i always like the chance to talk with ‘em… on saturday we’re hosting a sorta after-the-fact bridal shower for our friend sarah who is recently betrothed… izza ladies only event ‘cept for me… i’m the stripper… hah… well no… sarah’s been a pal for a while – she was in the mighty cousin phil band with me and was a part of my bachelor party when karen and i got married… and… uh… they’re not gonna make the kids and i leave the house for several hours… which is nice… and on sunday we’re gonna have a little barbecue so that should be a fine end to a fine weekend…
and to top it off all members of spank are back in town and we’ll be having a practice tomorrow… first one after missing two weeks so it should be lotsa fun…

and love of my life karen bought me a furman spb-8 stereo powered pedalboard for all my on-the-floor guitar goodies…
i built my own frankenstein-lookin’ behemoth of a pedal board a while ago and it was one of the best things i ever did as far as staying organized and helping with quick and easy setups for gigs…
but this here baby takes it to the next level and beyond… has a built in power conditioner, a patchbay for all sorts of loops and stereo uses, and comes with a cool padded gigbag to protect everything during transport – the main problem with with frankenstein v1.0…
